Sustainable Fashion Concept

How can we rethink consumption, do people and nature a favor and be economical to stay on long term ecological?

IKIGO STUDIOS

What is the vision?

I don’t believe in high fashion anymore - it’s all about what the clothes can do. I believe in fashion as a concept of change
— Chequita Nahar, Head of program Fine Arts an Design, Maastricht Institute of Arts

The fashion system is pretty broken and urgently needs a revolution. We think holistically sustainable and turn the fashion industry upside down with you!

How do we do that? We do everything differently:

Our concept is circular - we take responsibility for our products. At the beginning of each season, we compose limited 'Capsule Collections' in collaboration with sustainable fashion labels. You can pre-order your favorite pieces from these collections, which are then produced for you personally.

Overproduction adé.

IKIGO products can be returned to us for a lifetime. Returned products are then carefully checked and integrated into a 2nd life cycle. You, as part of the IKIGO community, can then flexibly decide whether you want to borrow these pre-owned goods or buy them at a reduced price. If a garment can no longer be repaired and worn, it is recycled into a new product at the end of the cycle in collaboration with artists and designers.

Textile waste adé.

Together we can not only make fashion great again, but also use design as a means to accelerate the acceptance of a sustainable economy in society!

Strong women, strong voices supporting us…
